Raila’s Sends Final Warning To Uhuru

The embattled Opposition leader who made a second public appearance on Sunday in the edgy Kawangware slum in Nairobi issued yet another warning.

Former National Super Alliance (Nasa) presidential candidate Raila Odinga warned the Jubilee administration against militarizing politics.

Making reference to the recent man who was brutally killed in Kawangware amid fears of a repeat presidential election, Mr Odinga told his supporters that Kenya as a country would not be governed by the barrel of the gun.

“I want to tell Jubilee; that the country cannot be governed by a barrel of a gun. Uhuru should know that he needs to resign so that fresh free and fair elections can be held in 90 days,” Mr Odinga told a charged crowd.

Raila addressed residents of Kawangware in Nairobi after a man was beaten to death during violence following the presidential re-run.

On Friday evening, several people were injured after panga-wielding youths clashed following differences over the presidential election.
Mr Odinga criticised the police for involving in the political matters, instead of leaving that matter to politicians.

"Politics should be left to politicians and our security officers should keep off,” he said.
He added: "Kenya needs to be saved because citizens are suffering," he said. "Tribalism has caused discrimination and desperation."
