Uhuru's Government Was Formed In My Home - Wanjigi Reveals

Nairobi businessman Jimmy Wanjigi has finally spoken after police left his home on Wednesday morning.

Addressing members of the press outside his Muthaiga house, Wanjigi expressed sadness at how he was treated by police, stating that he is innocent.

He further added that it was a shame that the government had resorted to portraying him as a criminal yet the Jubilee government was formed at his home.

"This home is a home President Uhuru Kenyatta has visited and eaten many times. His Jubilee government was formed here," he stated.

He further revealed that after the 2013 Supreme Court ruling that affirmed Kenyatta's win, the President and NASA leader Raila Odinga met at the same house.
The businessman also stated that his wife was assaulted by police as she tried to record their actions inside the house.

It is an unjustified siege my family need not have gone through. Everything you've seen from police is a complete fabrication.

"If it was not for the will, strength and prayers from Kenyans we would not be here" he added.
Wanjigi reserved special praise for Odinga noting he was with him throughout the ordeal as the police vandalised his home.

He further added that he was concerned how poor Kenyans are being handled by police if he, as a prominent person, was subjected to such ruthlessness.
